Is marriage without travel possible as Omicron spreads rapidly

The answer the questions; Is marriage without travel possible and the answer is ‘Yes’. Countries all around the world rushed to close their borders to African countries. This happened when the World Health Organization declared Omicron a concern in the last week of November.

To protect public health and limit the spread of the strain, many nations throughout the world, notably those in the Gulf region, have implemented travel restrictions.

This implies that marriages with large gatherings and ceremonies have come to a standstill once more, and couples must seek alternate solutions. In this post, we’ll go over the process of how you can get married without having to travel, which is known as internet marriage.

Is Marriage without travel possible for UAE residents

In order to combat the fatal coronavirus, earlier in 2020, the United Arab Emirates established an online marriage service. This allowed couples to marry despite restrictions on movement and interaction.

According to the UAE’s official news agency WAM, citizens and residents can schedule a date for an online wedding ceremony. The wedding would be conducted via video link with a cleric after their paperwork is submitted and accepted — also online.

Process of getting married online without travel

While submitting your documents to the embassy and consulate; it is important that couples ensure everything is place. That is why; an wedding agency like ours comes in hand.

Here’s what you should know about an online wedding; marriage without traveling

  • A team of experienced and qualified lawyers, as well as the marriage registrar, will oversee the entire process.
  • First. They’ll contact your embassy or consulate, and only if the embassy has no problems to the internet wedding will the process proceed.
  • Only your original passport is needed, and the wedding certificate we provide is completely legal and valid.
  • There will be no wedding ceremony because it is only the basic wedding paperwork.
  • It has absolutely nothing to do with your religion. You will not acquire a religious wedding certificate as a result of this.

Concluding on why UAE residents must opt for online weddings getting married is urgent

With the growing number of Omicron variations and countries opting to block borders, getting married in a foreign country appears to be too risky. In the midst of the pandemic, even getting married within the country could be cancelled at the last minute.

What one can be certain of is that, due to the nature of everything happening over the internet, online weddings may be less impacted.

What must you know before planning your hen party in Dubai

This article is for the bride-to-be and all her bridesmaids planning to throw a stunning bachelorette party. If you are a GCC local, you must be thinking of Dubai as one of the hen party locations.

However, Dubai might be a better option if you limit her party ideas and do not want to go wild. But it also comes with some pros and cons. Let us look at both of them step by step.

Pros

1. Cost

When you plan anything locally, your cost reduces to fit your pocket. If you are a Dubai resident and throwing the party, it might save a lot of money since you book a flight or take extra transport charges.

2. Family & Friends

You can invite your cousins and friends to celebrate the party in Dubai. You can increase the number of guests without hesitation. Since all your friends are residents of Dubai, they would be aware of the laws and restrictions out there.

However, celebrations in Dubai can cost you a lot if you break even a single law. The laws in UAE are a little stringent for women. Let us look at the cons of having a hen party in Dubai.

Cons

1. Alcohol

Only non-muslims can apply for a liquor license to consume alcohol at home. Even if you have the permit, you can drink only in licensed establishments. You cannot drink alcohol in public areas, and if you do, you might get into serious trouble.

2. Dress Code

You and your girlfriends cannot dress the way you want. Women should dress modestly in public areas, including shopping malls. You are expected to cover your arms and legs with clothing covering your entire body. So all the crop tops and shorts you bought might not be helpful for a bachelorette party in Dubai.

3. Importing Goods

It is illegal to import pornography and pork products into UAE. Videos, books, and magazines could be subject to inspection. So if you are planning to invite your friends from abroad, you need to inform them about these things.

4. Drugs

No drug-related offences are tolerated in Dubai. Even residual amounts of drugs can lead to severe penalties.

5. PDA

Public Display Affection is Big No in Dubai. You might get into serious trouble if you kiss, cuddle or even hold hands in public places, including bars and clubs for ex-pats.

If you do not want to go through these struggles, you can choose a different location for your hen party. Most of the GCC locals prefer to have fun in eastern Europe. Georgia is one of the best places to have your bachelorette party. There is no restriction over alcohol, PDA, dressing code, or even marijuana. Beautiful beaches and some fantastic nightclubs surround it. All your girls can click photos anywhere, and getting drunk does not cost you anything.

You can visit Bahrain if you are not from a country on the red list. However, if you visit one of these red-listed countries, you must wait 14 days. However, if you are a Bahraini resident or a Bahraini citizen, you are exempt from this regulation.

You will also have to spend 10 days in quarantine after arriving in Georgia. Furthermore, if you are required to take the COVID-19 test, you will need to pay for it after arriving in Bahrain using the BeAware Bahrain mobile app. It is important to note that the Bahraini government has established quarantine centers that are recognized by the NHRA. These services are intended for residents of Bahrain who do not have a fixed residence.

Those granted permanent residency in Bahrain must need to stay for ten days at their residence, on the other hand. Bear in mind that children under the age of six are exempt from these requirements.
